Sri Vishwananda Nilaya, the Home of Bhakti Marga South Africa, is being built on lush farmland in Doesburg, Kwa-Dukuza, Kwa-Zulu Natal. It represents an extension of Paramahamsa Sri Swami Vishwananda’s international mission, the headquarters of which are in Springen Germany. The ashram will be a meeting point of spiritual seekers wishing to enhance their expressions of Love and attain their higher reality.
CONCEPT & SUSTAINABILITY
The Structure is laid out in the pattern of the sacred sound ‘OM’, the cosmic sound of creation. The crown jewel, the Temple, is positioned at the Turya point of the geometrical Om and it’s conceptualised design is based on the ‘flower of life.’ It will be meeting point of “like-minded souls’, who can exchange ideas and jointly work towards the welfare of the country. The Ashram will be built in Phases with the intention of being partially “off-grid” and will implement various feasible green Technologies eg Solar, Wind, harvesting of Rain-water and recycling of waste. The architectural theme will reflect the organisation’s approach to the preservation of Mother Earth, creating a minimal footprint.
